Advanced technology-based precautions against all risks

In order to ensure safety in the Eurasia Tunnel, comprehensive integrated safety measures have been put into place.

Uninterrupted Communication

Emergency phones are available at 100-meter intervals, public address systems, radio announcements and GSM infrastructure ensure uninterrupted communications during the journey and the information flow will not be interrupted in case of emergency situations.

First Response Teams

Well-trained first response teams stationed at the portals and inside the tunnel on a 24/7 basis and equipped with all necessary equipment, support drivers by intervening in any incident within minutes.

Emergency exit rooms

The emergency rooms, accessible at 200-meter intervals, allow passage between the decks, which are separate from each other.

Special First Response Vehicles

With first response vehicles specially designed for the physical infrastructure and needs of the Eurasia Tunnel, the expert patrol team has all the necessary equipment for intervening in any type of incident in the tunnel.

Emergency Services

In the Eurasia Tunnel, security units are on duty 24/7 and emergency scenarios and actions are outlined for Istanbul Fire Department, 112 Ambulance service and public departments such as AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency).

All security measures have been taken concerning the construction and operation of the Eurasia Tunnel. We are in full cooperation with the General Directorate of Security to provide a comfortable and safe journey for drivers.
