Eurasia Tunnel is supporting the Academic Research Project of the Scholarship Club for Descendants of Korean War Veterans, developed by the Korean Veterans Remembrance Association to contribute to carrying the longstanding friendship between Türkiye and South Korea into future generations. As the main supporter of the Scholarship Program for Descendants of Korean War Veterans, Eurasia Tunnel will contribute to the academic studies of scholarship students who are descendants of Korean War veterans.
Scheduled to run from September 2026 to February 2027, the project will include research on the Korean War and its veterans, book translations, the collection of documents and materials, interviews with veterans and their descendants, and the production of video content. The studies are also planned to be turned into publications and presented at a conference.
The project was launched on September 19, Veterans Day, at the Eurasia Tunnel Operations Building with the participation of project stakeholders. At the opening, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Istanbul Tae Young Park, Eurasia Tunnel General Manager David H. Lee, and Chairman of the Korean Veterans Remembrance Association Tae Young Lee highlighted the importance of documenting and preserving the memories of Korean War veterans for future generations and continuing the longstanding friendship between Türkiye and South Korea through younger generations.
Through this project, which supports the educational and academic development of young people, the Eurasia Tunnel aims to contribute to preserving the longstanding friendship between Türkiye and South Korea and passing their shared legacy on to future generations.
